I was very disappointed today when my son, who had an exam for contacts in January, was not given his prescription today because the eye doctor did not see contacts on his eyes. His prescription is not a common one so they had to order contacts for him to try and we were never notified that they were in. Mind you, these were to be test lenses. When he called today to get his prescription faxed to the competition, we were told that he would have to have a complete new I exam because he did not come in and pick up the contacts that the eye doctor have them order for him to try. I am very disappointed in the fact that my insurance covered a contact exam which should have included a prescription at the time of the visit. But because we did not order contacts from their business at the time that he was seen, now we are not even allowed access to his prescription. What happened to patients getting their prescription at the time of the visit? Why should it matter whether we try the Contacts they recommend or not? If they are a doctor should they not know what his prescription is before we even leave the office? Very disappointed in the tone that the customer service clerk used to with us. HIPAA laws were mentioned and I was inquiring about billing and while we did not get a prescription when it was my insurance that covered my sons visit. Very poor understanding of the HIPAA laws as well as knowledge of what the policies of their own company were. It seemed as though they were doing anything to get us to come back in there to buy contacts from them.

Everyone was very friendly. I was called in for my exam a few minutes before my appointment time. The person selling me my frames did not try to push me into anything. he totally let me make the decision. I really appreciate that.

I agree - stay away from this place. the manager is horribly rude - sarcastic and tried to up sell me on a contact exam when i only asked for a glasses exam. the doctor (Patel) is very good, but i will never return to this store because of the way they handled customer service. they charged me for two exams even though i signed up for one, and when i asked for a refund, though they gave me one, they then withheld the contact prescription and the apology was seeping in insults (the manager said it was partly my fault that they had charged me for both, even though i specifically said i wanted just the glasses exam). find another eyeglass store in harrisonburg - this one is very bad.

stay away........2 frame deal is just a way to get you in the door.... of course the 2 for 69.00 frames are limited and if you want bifocals, scratch coating then be prepared to pay over 250.00, which I did. In 5 months the lenses scratched and I took them back, since I did not pay the extra 16.00 protection plan, good grief I paid over 250.00, then I get NOTHING! Next time I will go to regular eye glass place, no more chain stores for me. Could have at least done something, they did not and I will never return and I will make sure my friends and family don't either.
