Cheap and liveable is the best I can describe these apartments as. The outside looks like a cheap motel, and the inside is not much better. Bugs are a HUGE problem. No matter how clean you keep your place, bugs and spiders always get in because the doors and windows don't fully shut out the outside (which also makes it a problem for A/C and heating). Maintenance takes absolutely forever- while the guy is nice, I'd rather actually have my apartment repaired. The land lady leaves early most days, and takes a really long lunch break, so it can be hard to reach her. She dismisses your claims/worries about bugs, the time it takes for repairs, and frequently loses your money (was asked numerous times if I had paid my rent and/or deposits when she had already cashed the check). However, it is the cheapest place in Harrisonburg with joint leasing- the only reason I chose these apartments. $515 for a one bed, one bath.

It is cheap, it is liveable, but I don't recommend it if you can afford/find anywhere else.

These are the worst apartments I've ever had the unfortunate displeasure of living in. Appliances which were older than me, were always breaking down, and I was given a hard time by mgmt every time I complained about it. Very hard to get maintenance to come in and fix the problems and was told that I absolutely could NOT have them replaced with newer appliances. Apts are run down, grounds are dirty and there are way too many people living in some of the apts, which are one-bedroom. They may be some of the cheapest in Hburg, but they're not worth it. DO NOT RENT.
