Instead of ordering lace locks from Amazon Prime I chose to spend a few dollars more and support local business. I placed my order January 7th and was told by the owner that I could pick it up in 5 days. After 8 visits and over 4 months of waiting the order still hasn't arrived. Instead I was constantly told the order would arrive "in just a few days" and on at least 2 occasions the very rude owner refused to take responsibility for the delay. The equally rude staff didn't even know what these type of laces are and this made me seriously question if the owner had actually ordered it as he claimed. ! I finally went in to request a refund yesterday and was told by a staff member who treated me like dirt that even though this simple order had not arrived in 4 months they would not refund my $9.42. Only after pointing out how this is such a poor business practice did she agree to call the owner who was apparently not in the shop. Finally they agreed to the refund. Meanwhile I paid 7 dollars to Amazon Prime and the order arrived in 2 days with free shipping. I cannot imagine how Harrisonburg Shoe Repair with such poor customer service and questionable business ethics can stay open. Please avoid this business.

I took my boots in to have the...

I took my boots in to have the calf taken in, a job that was quoted at 3 weeks. After over 8 weeks, and 9 delays/missed deadlines (1 firing, 2 broken sewing machines, a family emergency, etc) I was finally told they were ready. I went to pick them up and tried them on. They appeared to not have been taken in at all and the ticket was missing. Basically the work had not been done at all, or was done but not nearly to the specs we agreed on due to the missing ticket and them not bothering to call me. I wasted way too much of my time and energy on this place and the only good thing I can say is after they saw how terrible the work was they gave me a full refund.

Boots sat on the shelf for two...

Boots sat on the shelf for two weeks and were never touched. Everytime I called, I was told that they were on the work bench and next in line. Finally went in and just took them back.
