One of the foremost ferret organizations in the United States with in-depth expertise in the care and sheltering of domestic ferrets. In addition to operating a local rescue and shelter, the Ferret Association (aka FCT) also sponsors the Ferret Shelters Directory, a robust online database of shelters and animal control facilities that accept, adopt out and provide hospice care of ferrets in the US, Canada, UK, and Australia. Additionally, FACT publishes 3 distinct newsletters aimed at different audiences: 2 periodic print publications aimed at members and foster families/supports and a broad-based bi-monthly e-newsletter.

FACT also provides fiscal sponsorship for the Xavier Ferret Canine Distemper Fund.
