We are very sorry you had this bad experiences. We feel like sorry is not enough for what you went through especially losing your hair. We can let you know that we are renovating and upgrading our client experience. Provided by YP.comIf I could give them no stars then I would. They charged me $130 for different style than the one I asked for and took less than an hour. When I got home and inspected it from the back, you could see all the gaps that were left undone. VERY LAZY, SNEAKY, and UNETHICAL business. You've been warned!!

Provided by YPmobileOmg!!!! I thought I was alone!!!! I went to get micros and she stood there for almost an half hour trying to negotiate with me to get Senegalese twist. I've been going to a lady by the name of KD for years and have never had a problem with micro braids, I had just moved to Hartford so I had no choice but to find a hair dresser in Hartford so I went to them and she kept telling me my hair was too long for micros. To make a long story short she kept trying to tell me that my hair was too long for micro braids and that if i get micros my hair will break. I told her that that was not true and that I've been getting micro braids for years and she kept telling me that it would. My hair is back length but when she did my hair she put knots at the end of each braid and I think it was to be spiteful. The braids where braided only a cm and knotted at my ears. My hair literally fell out at the end of each knot that she put in my hair... then she was parting my scalp so hard it felt like it was being sliced open each time.... I'm so angry I can't even type all I wanna sue

Provided by YPmobileThe girls here are very lazy. They only want to do senegalese twists. Why call it a braiding salon if they can't do other things. The 1st time I went they did a good job, the next 2 times I was there for 9 hours. I would not recommend them.

Provided by YPmobileI haven't Bern to logos in a long time so I wanted wet and wavy hair they didn't have it so I settled for the straight hair. The girl stayed on the telephone the whole time she braided my hair. The braid are only a week old and falling out already she told me that she couldn't braid the back because it was to short my braids are all different sizes inside the middle of my head. I will not be going back to that braiding salon ever again. No type of professionalism and the workers are very inexperienced I wouldn't recommend them to do anyone 's hair the owner only trying to fast talk you to get your money. Your hair looks nice while you are in the shop but once you leave your braids look like they were done a month ago.

Provided by YPmobileI been to loris 4 times and it seems like they got worst and worst each time. Remind you in new york for micro braids it cost between 100.-180. and they consider micro as invisible braids. But at loris for 180. not even including the hair there micros are basically regular block braids and there sneaky theyll braid the front and around small enough to tell you there micros but not. An when they get to the middle they braid them big. So when you wear your hair down its very very noticeable spec if you know people like me who want to touch and be all in your head.Then they take forever! Its breaks after breaks, an wash they hands sometimes when they chose. Yuck! then they seat around watching soaps and all the drama mess. An you looking at them like hurry up, i do have a life. sheesh Wash your hair before going cause if they do its extra on top of the 180 you already paying. An they do a nasty job at washing too. Dont condition use cheap supplies. Sink raggedy. Shop period raggedy. An dont bother making an apptmt either you wont be seen at that time but hrs later. I just stopped getting my hair braided period. An if ever i do decide to braid my hair new york def is worth the drive. until someone else professionally and reasonable show me otherwise. They just bad for business.

Provided by YP.comI went to Lori's of course to get my hairbraided. However the girls are becoming lazy and always want to watch the daytime stories.( who does that anymore). I asked for small braids and she insisted that my braids was small for 180.00. they was medium size. some of the girls eat like every hour on the hour . I ask the lady who was doing my hair to wash her hands, she acted like i said something wrong. I think Lori need to make some changes or consider relocating somewere were they can give the bad services to another neighborhood. 100 or more for hairdo is not easy to come by if the service is below average. I give her shop an" F"

Provided by YP.comI came from Baltimore, MD to visit my dad and during my stay I decided to get my hair done in single braids. I searched online and found this shop, I figured the place did quality work based on the website and pictires. I called them and they gave me a quote of $170, which was decent, compared to Baltimore where it is $200. The lady who braided my hair finished in about 5hrs which was good, in Baltimore they take 7 to 8 hours. I guess from working in a braiding shop I was a bit skeptical overall but these thing confirmed it:
1. After dipping the ends in hot water, instead of using a razor blade to cut the ends, giving them a natural look, she use a pair a scissors and cut the ends straight off, making it look like a bob, uuugh!! ( i had to re-dip them and use a raxor to fix them when i got home)
2. When I got home and examed the braids and the middle braids where 3times the size of the braids around my edgedes, which explain why she finished so quickly.
3. For some odd reason she decided to give me a side part and the braids in the front, and they were mini cornrows, beacuse they didn't have the mobility to move around (as a single braid should)
4. The braids were NOT even neat, especially with the middle braids being OVBIOUSLY bigger than the braids on my edged.
Overall I was really disappointed, I would rather continue to pay $200 for braids that are NEAT, the SAME size, and actuallySINGLE braid, not mini cronrows. They will never see me there!!

Provided by YP.comThis salon does quality work. There was one braider that did my hair for eighteen months- every three months. I loved her work. She was fast and a consistent braider. However, I stopped going because the owner was constantly pushing other braiders on me. Other braiders would get an attitude when I flat out told them that I want only that braider. The final staw was when I arrived for an appointment and the owner placed a walk-in in time slot. Tjis matters when your already planning on sitting for five hours for a style! Then she spoke in her language to the other workers on my insistance to have the braider that I was scheduled. I don't care what you language one speaks, a nasty attitude is universal!!!

Provided by YP.comIf price is no object then I'd recommend it, they're fast and good. However, I've had several problems with them when it comes to price. One being they quote you one price over the phone and another when you actually get there. The second being that you ask for one thing and they do they're own and charge you for something you didn't want in the first place. So overall, while they're good at what they do they aren't worth the hassle.
