Provided by YP.comI paid $200 more than the local rate for a truck windshield replacement from David's Auto Glass Repair, Harvard, Il. They advertise with a local address less than 5 miles from where the truck was parked. Their ad reads "We have the lowest prices on auto glass repair in town. Free mobile service, etc." I offered to bring the truck to them but they insisted on using their mobile service to deliver the glass. The installer showed up with a license plate from near Chicago, 70 -80 miles away. They charged $453 for a windshield. Three others in the area charge between $199 and $240 for the same service. I called the company to question why they told me they were local when the installer came from the city over an hour away. The representative said "we are local, we have a local address." When I asked why they charged so much, they hung up on me. A week after the sale I still have not received an emailed receipt as promised. Beware of companies that pretend to be your neighbor.
