Sparkman High School, located in Harvest, Ala., offers a variety of academic and co-curricular programs to students in grades nine through 12. Its curriculum includes science, biology, history, geography, government, language arts, biology, chemistry and computer applications. The school organizes various plays, such as Shakespeare s "Macbeth," the National Honors Society programs, galas and classes in marine biology. It also has student council that brings together students from different schools and socioeconomic backgrounds to form teams of student volunteers working together for community education and fundraising activities. The school additionally organizes Native American studies where students create crafts while studying literature and culture of various states. It has a parent-teacher association that organizes educational and child development programs in the school.
