 Jefferson Parish Appraisal Service, Inc. was incorporated in Louisiana in 1986. It became Jefferson Parish Appraisal Service LLC in 2004. It consists of one senior Certified residential appraiser and one associate Certified residential appraiser.   Serving an area from Destrehan to Laplace, LA, the company does not service Grand Isle, LA.   We limit our service area (120 miles by 40 miles) to an area we are familiar with and have the necessary maps, MLS data and Deedfax courthouse record data, to provide a comprehensive appraisal. Located in Harvey, LA, a suburb of New Orleans, Jefferson Parish Appraisal Service LLC limits work to the parishes (counties) listed: Jefferson Parish; Orleans Parish; Plaquemines Parish; St. Bernard Parish; St. Charles Parish.  Our main emphasis is that of forensic appraising. We work with many attorneys on divorce and estate community property settlement matters. Walter Marschner has testified in civil and criminal court cases in U.S. District Court and U.S. Bankruptcy Court. He has served as an expert witness in Jefferson, Orleans, St. Charles and St. Tammany Parish courts. Jefferson Parish Appraisal Service LLC is approved by most lenders and provides FHA and conventional appraisal services. The company will provide samples of work and credentials upon request. We electronically transmit appraisals utilizing Bradford Technologies newest ClickFORMS software. We provide residential appraisals on single family homes, condos and multifamily residential properties of 2 to 4 units. Consulting services are provided to attorneys, real estate investors, For Sale By Owners, accountants and insurance brokers. Mr. Marschner is the author of "How to Quickly Sell Your Home at the Highest Price". With over 30 years of real estate experience, he has taught real estate and appraisal subjects for real estate schools and at several appraisal conferences. He is past president of the Louisiana Chapter of the National Association of Master Appraisers.
