Dr. Tamas has taken care of our family pets for decades. She has treated all of our "exotic" pets. Whether its a C-section for our guinea pig, a prolapsed rectum of a turtle, blindness of a miniature Russian hamster, diarrhea of a parakeet, all were given the best care. Our dogs and cats have lived long and healthy lives. Inevitable euthanasia was done with compassion and empathy. Her fees are affordable and her skill is unmatched.

If I could give this office 0 stars, I would. Only coming to the office a few times, there was no conversation about plan of care or informed consent. A few tests were done on our pet but it just seemed like only the minimum was done. I guess you get what you pay for.

I would not recommend this veterinarian . My first and last and only appointment for my dog consisted only of checking her ears and teeth and her accidental discovery of a lump, which is the reason I listed for the visit on their paperwork- it shouldn't have been a surprise. She grudgingly wrote up an estimate, would not take payments for the surgery (which contradicts what I was told when making the appointment ) and is such a dog lover that she didn't even offer my dog a treat for being her usual good girl. She did push to give my dog shots, without even knowing what or if she needed any. She gave the impression that she isn't a dog lover, but is a money lover, no matter how "reasonable" she claims to be. The only good thing that came out of that appointment was that it didn't cost more for the lame service.

Dr. Tamas is a wonderful caring vet. My Roxanne got sick back in March of 2010. I never take my dogs to a vet because of my own reason. Upon seeing Dr. Tamas she was not happy that Roxanne had not been seen for years but once she ran test and X-rays she said I had the healthiest sick dog she ever saw. She was so sick tho we had no choice but to put her to sleep. Now today my Elway of 15 years is waiting to see her. It's her time now to be put to sleep. Her back legs won't work and she lost control of her bowels and won't eat. There's more but that's enough. I feel confident. With Dr. Tamas and want only her to take care of my Elway.

A true animal lover and healer

Dr. Tamas is a wonderful veterinarian. About five years ago our blue healer mix had been having some problems. He had gained weight but was unable to keep much of his food down. Also, his usual kind nature began to get grouchy. We took him to the big name animal hospital we'd been going to but they told us he was fine. That he weighed the same and his bad mood was due to the breed and the age. We were not satisfied with their answer so friends of ours recommended we see Dr. Tamas. She took one look at him and said she'd need to take x-rays immediately because his belly looked so big. It turned out our beloved family pet was very sick. He had a tumor so large that his organs could barely be seen on the x-rays. We scheduled him to have it removed Monday morning. His situation rapidly got worse and on Saturday night he was in unbearable pain. Dr. Tamas is not a 24 hour clinic but her office is at her house. We called her and she told us to bring him over. She gave him medicine to help and had us bring him in Sunday to try and remove the tumor. Unfortunately it was to late for him; however, the care she gave him in the last days of his life was greater than the care the other place had ever given him. Since then we've taken all four of our dogs to her. Best of all she is no were near as expensive as the other vet. She did not even charge an extra fee when she saw us on Saturday or Sunday! I know she takes care of animals because she loves them not just for the money. Her office may not be as fancy as some of the others but the care can't be beaten.
