I attended a wonderful wedding on 5/20/2016. Our experience with this bakery falls under the heading of, "You can't make this stuff up!" Once upon a time this was a premier choice for weddings. No longer! The entire reception was overshadowed by an egregious lapse on the part of this bakery. The cake was inexplicably hours late, too late for the reception, no heads-up, no apology, no follow-up! The bride was so crushed over this experience that friends actually went to a grocery store to buy a birthday cake as a stand-in. Yes, that's how bad it was! The only rationale I can surmise is that the (new?) owners have no respect for their customers and are doing a kamikaze nose-dive right into bankruptcy! For the sake of brides-to-come considering this business, forget anything positive you may have heard in the past and RUN AWAY!

Today I was afforded the wonderful opportunity to pick up my sister's baby shower cake for her first baby! Upon entering the store I was greeted and given the cake that I ordered that was picked from a design that they had in a book at the shop. When I looked at the cake, which is a baby shower cake, it had skeleton faces on the cake. The skeleton faces were not clearly visible on the picture displayed in the book from the shop. I quickly told the employees that the cake should not have skeletons on it and that I would like to have it corrected. I immediately called my sister who the cake was for and she came to the shop. They told us that it was the decorators fault and that it was nothing they could do about it. I was also told that because they were about to close it was too late to have it fixed. They said that all they could do was scratch off the skeleton faces then pay an additional design fee. During this time employees were snickering, rolling eyes and making unnecessary comments, which I found to be no less helpful in the situation. A particular employee, Jasmine, laughed the most all while my pregnant sister was crying about her "skeleton" baby shower cake. I found this situation to be uncalled for and the cake should have been fixed. We also asked about the sign behind the register which states that if the customer is unhappy with the cake that it can be fixed before the cake leaves the shop and free of charge. When we asked for the manager's number we were carelessly told to call back Tuesday. The employees there today were very rude, unprofessional, and all in a rush to leave. Meanwhile I had to fix my sister's baby shower cake after paying for the cake to be made.
