I would not recommend The Tidewater Grille for a special occasion; such as my husband's 70th birthday party. I invited my entire family; even had quests fly in from Florida. Even though I reserved this table months ago and requested a table on the porch for the view of the water; we were put in the main restaurant pushed against a wall. The food was just okay, the mashed potatoes were cold and we couldn't eat them; possibly because we only had 1 waitress for 13 people. She was very pleasant and did her best considering every she had to do by herself. By no way did they help make the day special for my husband; couldn't even put a candle on his dessert? After reading reviews of the Liberatories restaurant in Bel Air and how people were made to feel so special and what wonderful service they received, I am so sorry we didn't go there.

Extensive menu. Service was ok, but food was great. Other than their cream of crab. No flavor what so ever. After eating there, talked with several people whom stated the same thing. Otherwise would definately go back again. High end restaurant, not kid friendly, but it is a place more for adults.

Fresh and Friendly

That is the food AND the server!

A local priest recommended the Tidewater Grille. My wife and I love seafood and welcomed the opportunity to visit this restaurant with him on a Saturday evening.

The only improvement we will make in the future is to have reservations inorder to sit at a window for the view. (We will drive the 45 minutes to eat at the Tidewater again!)

The menu and specials were very complete...both sea and land opportunities.

We had the crab bisque and fresh oysters; a special of blackened rockfish topped with a mound of fresh crab meat. Accompanying it was a choice of potato and fresh vegetables. There was no room for dessert!

Our guest had the prime rib...it looked great.

The food was prepared perfectly...fish was flakey and moist, unusual to experience both conditions today. The waitress made you feel right at home...just like the south!

I wish they would update their website...we tried to forward it to friends, but it is very outdated. They should upgrade that, but maybe they have all the business they can handle...the food deserves it!

disappointing

Bad service, waitress seemed impatient, short tempred and preoccupied during a slow time, got several items ordered- wrong. With the prices charged, you think that you could have free drink refills. Need to have a seperate fryer for french fries for those with food allergies. Not child friendly.Limited menu.
