Mineral County School is a coeducational institution that offers a variety of learning opportunities. It enrolls more than 190 boys and girls in grades 9 through 12. Its extracurricular activities include volleyball, football, basketball, baseball, softball and golf. Mineral County School is a member of the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association. The school s curriculum includes English, mathematics, foreign languages and social studies. In addition, it organizes various parent-teacher meetings. Located in Hawthorne, Nev., Mineral County School is a part of the Mineral County School District, which serves the cities of Luning, Mina and Schurz, Nev. The Mineral County School District also operates Hawthorne Junior High School, Hawthorne Elementary School and Schurz Elementary School.
