DO NOT USE "WHITE GLOVE SERVICE" AT WEST ELM!!!!!! These are the people you will be forced to work with. I cannot express how unprofessional and dishonest this location is.

A. Your stuff will be stuck in storage until they feel like doing their job (you can track your orders on their site and see when they arrive at the wharehouse)
B. They will lie to you about why they cannot do their job in a timely fashion (confirmed by west elm and their national location)
C. When you try to get ahold of them they not only don't answer, but it goes to a woman's voicemail which is not set up.

Honestly, if you told me they were running this operation out of a trailer I wouldn't be suprised. They are incompetent and because they charge so much for their services, they don't care. They should not be in business. End of story. Thank to me all of my friends and family are well informed to not use this service. Good luck.

The worst experience of a company I have ever encountered. I ordered mattresses from JCP Sept 3. Shipped them out the 8th. On the 23rd I called JCP to check on my mattresses. They told me that MXD has tried to call-- which they did not. I finally got a hold of them and had a delivery date of Oct 10. They called that morning and said they have to cancel bc they "misplaced" my mattresses and will have to do a 24-hr dock search. Today is Oct 24th, they have quit taking my phone calls and JCP"s too. JCP said they will cancel that order and send out replacements, but will have to use the MXD company, NO THANK YOU!!! I got a refund and will buy locally. I don't see how this company is still in business!!

I had a delivery scheduled today for a large desk I ordered from Office Depot. I was called and received a message from MXD that no one was home when they showed up to deliver, and that the driver had to move on to his route. My father has been home all day - never left the house. And there are three large dogs that bark if a car pulls into the driveway, so if my dad says no one was there, I'm gonna have to believe him on that. At this point, I have been on hold with MXD for over 50 minutes trying to speak to someone so I can actually get my furniture. We'll see how that goes...

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. They delivered our sectional sofa purchased from West Elm in January. The two delivery guys dropped the metal piece connecting the sofa on the brand new floor we just installed in the basement leaving a deep gash that can only be repaired by removing the planks beginning at the wall and working inward towards the damaged one. In addition, they did not connect the two pieces of the sofa, leaving it on the floor with the plastic covering. I contacted our sales rep from West Elm whom apparently worked furiously to contact this company to reimburse us for the floor damage. We received an estimate from our contractor on Jan 28th to repair the floor. It was submitted the same day to MXD Group to a representative named Mere. It is now May 16th and we have not been able to reach a single person at MXD every time we call. The West Elm sales rep continues to text saying he reached them and they promise to contact us but we have heard nothing.

Terrible, horrible delivery service! They damaged my new furniture first time and picked it up to repair at their warehouse. The second time they caused more damage but I didn't notice when they were at my house. Inoticed it right after they left and took picture and sent the picture to MXD. No response. I called and was told to call the company to order a new one by myself. They are not responsible for the damage because I didn't notice it and wrote on the delivery paper.

I had a Driver by the name of Robert who delivered my bed today. He was the most kind and considerate professional, that I had the pleasure talking to. He went out of his way to deliver us 100% customer satifaction. He gave us the White glove treatment in every way possible. MXD may not be the greatest, but if you get Robert Barnes as your delivery driver, you are definitely blessed. Please show him kindness. He has been through alot.

Terrible. Did no show up during window timeframe. When I called to get status they called the driver, then told me the driver did not answer and gave me his number and told me to call him as they can't keep calling him. They said their ecords show he is en route to my house. I called the driver, he answered, said he did not recive a previous call. Said he was on his way to another delivery then Iwasnext. This call was 30 minutes past my delivery time. Due to other bad reviews, I will not let them in my house, I will have them leave outside and I will bring the merchandise in.....

MXD Group is just awful, awful - you will never get your furniture delivered in a timely manner wherever they are involved.

I have a furniture order with Restoration Hardware (RH) wherein the product is currently located at an MXD Group warehouse in Portland, minutes away from where I live. After no less than 13 (yes, THIRTEEN) phone calls I still cannot get delivery status - or even a Will Call address to pick up the furniture myself.

The MXD representatives are almost always confused, offer conflicting information, and keep no notes of previous phone conversations with customers - the last part being an absolutely fatal operational flaw.

To illustrate how utterly Third World this company is: At one point yesterday, I spoke to a representative by the distinct name "Abdu" (he would not provide a last name) who stated a Supervisor ("Dujuane") committed to have the item delivered on Saturday (tomorrow, 10/11). However, in subsequent conversations, MXD representatives denied this was my delivery date, and stated the "earliest" date for delivery would be 10/16, 10/17, and in one case (note: all conflicting dates) a representative told me the delivery date would be 10/27.

I eventually spoke personally with "Dujuane the Supervisor", and he denied that there was anyone in his office named "Abdu". His words: "I am not aware of anyone here by that name." Minutes later, after arguing with me about his delivery date commitment, he stated "Abdu is sitting right here next to me and said that he never offered a Saturday delivery."

In short, "Dujuane" lied, and was caught doing so in that very same conversation. Based on these conversations, it seems like most of the representatives working for MXD Group routinely lie to customers to break previous scheduling commitments, and avoid having to address what are obviously serious customer service issues.

The problems with MDX Group are serious, routine, and pervasive. Habitual dishonesty by employees is toxic, viral, and not something that can be structurally addressed.

If you are ordering furniture from RH, or anyone contracted to MXD - CANCEL your order promptly and find a way to order from someone who does not use MXD Group for delivery.

Terrible delivery company. MXD is contracted by Restoration Hardware. They do not provide white glove service, did not take their shoes off when entering our home, and damaged our wall when two men attempted to bring a king size bed upstairs. They did not apologize or admit to damaging the wall. My husband and i had to call them out on it. They told us we had to submit a claim with their corporate office. Upon calling MXD group we waiting a full week with no response. Reached out again and did not get a claim number, apology, or any assistance in resolving this issue. We have since reached out on three separate occasions and still have not gotten anywhere. We now have two large gashes in our drywall.

I purchased a coffee table on 6/21/14 from the JCPenney home store in Springfield, MO. The table was delivered 2-3 weeks later as promised. When delivered, the table was filthy (there were even footprints on it) and damaged. I called JCPenney home store as well as MXD Group (delivery service contracted with JCP) and was told that another table would be sent to me.

I work in a hospital and it is very difficult for me to leave work and come home for deliveries. Therefore I asked MXD if they would be willing to work with me on this. I was continuously told that delivery could only happen on Wednesdays and that they could not guarantee a delivery time. I asked if I could at least request morning or afternoon so that I could request off work. They said they would "put a note in the system" requesting morning for me. However, every Tuesday prior to the Wednesday they would deliver, I would get a message saying it would be in the afternoon. I have patients scheduled at certain times at my job and cannot change things with less than 24 hours noticed. Again, I called and explained this and asked what happened to the "note in the system". I was told there was no note in the system and that I needed to have "a friend or trusted neighbor" be there and sign for the delivery if I could not be there. I explained that I live alone and since the initial product was damaged, I wanted to be there myself to inspect the delivery. I asked to speak to a manager and all the manager could say was "we can't guarantee anything about the time of delivery as the trucks are on GPS". I felt like the company should have worked with me, the customer, since the initial product was damaged and dirty. I explained this to the manager and he replied that "it was a factory issue" and not MXD's issue.

This went on all summer long. Trying to coordinate times I could get off work and times MXD said they could deliver. Finally, on 9/24/14 (today), I took a vacation day at work so that I could be home for the delivery. On Tuesday I received a call from MXD that delivery time would be from 3:30-6:30 PM. I received a call today from the delivery driver at 11:30 AM that he was running early and could deliver the table at 12:30 PM. I was out running errands but said I could be home by that time. I arrived home at 12:15 PM. The delivery was one hour late at 1:30 PM. Once again, the product was damaged with dents and scratches.

This is the worst customer service I have experienced in my life! When you call the MXD company located in St. Louis no one cares at ALL. All they say repeatedly is "we can't guarantee anything." I would strongly discourage buying furniture from JCPenney home store due to the poor delivery service in the MO area.
