I Nina at shear class try my hardest to make everyone love there hair and be very happy with there service , I love what I do and and have been doing it proudly for a long time . There is a bad comment on the reviews that was reconciled and she knows I would go above and beyond to make the situation right and after she wrote a nice review about me , thank you for that and even tho I did not do her hair I will try to make things right . I incurage everyone to go to my FB page Shear Class professional hair salon and see all the amazing work that comes out of our salon . I do understand there are some misunderstandings sometimes and miss communications as sometimes ppl are not on the same page BUT this is a rare thing . I welcome everyone to the salon and to my page to see for them self , thank you .

I am new to NJ and asked in a local Facebook group for salon recommendations. A stylist, Sara, commented saying she would love to do my hair and gave the name/number to Shear Class. I looked at the photos and saw beautiful pictures, a lot of what I was hoping to do to my hair. I went in and Sara asked what I wanted and if i had pics. I showed her 3 of what I wanted and she said "OK, you want to go really blonde!" Never said it wasnt possible, never said anything but that we could do it and that shes been doing hair for 13 yrs. My hair is very dark, and I wanted to add blonde ombre/balayage. I told her i wanted my very long, overgrown hair cut to right under my shoulders and she cut it much shorter. The entire time Sara's phone was ringing, her son was home sick with an ear infection. This led to Sara doing a rushed job. Im a mom, I understand having a sick kid, but I wish she would have told me that she didnt have the time we needed. She never covered my grays, I STRESSED to her that I did not want ORANGE hair, and I didnt want my color in a straight line. I wanted it to look natural, painted looking, balayage, not a line of orange ends. When she dried me i felt like I was punched in the stomach. I sat in front of the salon for a good 10 mins trying to hold back the tears. Who wants their grays showing and orange dipped ends?! I had to find a salon that would fix me up, but it cost me a pretty penny to fix what was done and I went through the holidays with my hair in a very small pony tail trying to hide the mess. I would have much rathered wait, instead of having orange and gray hair, and spending another $210 to fix all of what was wrong. After posting this review on Facebook, Nina and Sara sent people (who I've had to block) to comment and harass me in private message. This place is extremely unprofessional and sketchy. They asked for my check to be made out to cash, which was my first warning, and now I'm being threatened in private message. Stay away!

Always an excellent experience at Shear Class. I have followed Nina, the owner, for at least 12 years and have never been unhappy with my cut or color. She is awesome! Very proud of her accomplishment at owning her own salon.
