We offer 24-hour emergency towing and service. Currently, two small boom wreckers, two rollbacks, two heavy tow trucks, two mobile service trucks, and a 53-foot sliding-axle trailer for motor homes and equipment are in operation. J&D is AAA-approved. J&D Truck Repair is an authorized Cummins repair shop with two certified mechanics on staff for repairs. To complement the towing, we began renting trailers and containers. J&D Trailer Rentals has many 40- and 20- foot containers along with three reefers and several dry trailers. We offer pick-up and delivery. This service is great for new home storage. We bring a trailer to your house, you load it up, and we deliver it to the desired location of your new house construction. And when youre ready to move in, you can unload and we will come pick up the trailer. Packing blankets and ramps are available.

Sloppy Work

I went to J&D Trailer with a cracked axle. Upon picking up the trailer I noticed that they failed to install a bearing grease cap. When I looked closer I saw they had the wheel on inside out. That was a problem. I should have kept looking at the work performed. After about 200 miles I had a blow out. Upon inspection both of my new trailer tires were worn bald. I realized they had installed the axle incorrectly causing the tires to âtow inâ. This was a rookie mistake and not one a professional trailer shop should have made. It turns out they had their new guy do the work and never checked what he did. This was just a light duty trailer, the fix was easy and the blow out didnât cause any damage or lead to a wreck. Had this been a stock or boat trailer the ending might have been different. I asked them to refund enough of the labor costs to cover the new tires. I never heard from them again. If you are in Helena and have them do some work, make sure you check it out before hitting the road. They might have the âKnowledge and the Toolsâ as they say but they are just sloppy. Donât trust your life to them.
