Coronado High School has a staff of more than 150 administrators, secretaries, counselors, teachers and support staff. The school offers various student activities, including cheerleading squad, photography, orchestra and mu alpha theta club. It has an athletics department that provides several sports activities, such as cross county, football, golf, soccer, tennis, volleyball, bowling, basketball and wrestling. Coronado High School s science department teaches various topics, including astronomy, biology, chemistry, computers, genetics, physics, and earth and marine science. The school has a library that includes a variety of study materials, magazines, newspapers, encyclopedias and dictionaries. Its core curriculum includes English, math, social studies, physical education and economics. Coronado High School is governed by the Clark County School District.
