I am amazed at the previous comments. I found this dentist to be totally professional, caring, gentle and all the work I have had done over the years has had excellent outcomes. The office staff is friendly and competent. The hygienists are all very good. I would recommend Dr Tran to anyone. I actually look forward to going to the dentist! :-)

I went to Dr. Terrie Tran’s office for a dental check up and follow up work in December 2012 and then January 2013. I am very upset about my visits and how the whole process has progressed. I paid more out of pocket expenses than my insurance (which covers at 80/20) so something is not right immediately. I have contacted my insurance company who is beginning a more thorough audit so I hope she has not billed this way to others. As if that is not bad enough, I have problems with the work she did. I now am experiencing problems with a crown she put in. I cannot put anything cold on my tooth and anything frozen is horribly painful. I contacted another local dentist to fix this problem and when they went over my co-pay was when I realized how grossly overcharged I had been. When I called Dr. Tran’s office to have my payments audited, after telling them that my insurance company says I should have paid a quarter of what I paid, the lady hung up on me. Stay far away from this place as it reeks foul no matter how you look at it!

Overall, I was generally happy with the office, the doctor, and the medical staff. However, I was appalled that after going through the trouble of taking thorough x-rays and an exam that I was left with a RECEPTIONIST to go over the results with me. Even to answer some very basic questions about recommended treatments, she had to consult the medical staff. In addition, a friend who dropped me off and and picked me up had to contend with this same receptionist. The appointment took much longer than either of us had anticipated. When my friend inquired repeatedly about how much longer it would take to complete my appointment, the receptionist's reply was always the same: 15 minutes. All those 15 minutes added up to an hour that my friend waited in the parking lot. If the receptionist had answered "an hour" in the first place, my friend could have used to time to run errands. Instead, my friend was frustrated and angry at the time she had wasted waiting.

I have the usual x-rays, cleaning and an occassional filling. I went through my insurance so fast I was paying out of my pocket after a deep cleaning and full set of x-rays. when they filled all the teeth that came up on the e-xrays and I waay suppose to be done for the year Low and behold they told me I had another 3 cavities. I had the x-rays checked out and what do you know, NO CAVITIES ! That was a year ago and I still have no cavities where indicated. I do have trouble with my bite now that I went there but I am lucky thats it.



My husband on the other hand has soft teeth and has to rely on a dentist much more. Well he went through his yearly allotted money for the year on our dental insurance and had over $4,000 more work done. You don't know when you are, regaurding your insureance and they tell you when you come in for the appt. My husband was in the middle of the work he needed and did not want to change in the middle so WE PAID.



We are in our 50's and 60's, respectfully,so we are aware of the higher costs, etc.



So, if you want to spend a lot of money on your teeth and continue to pay go ahead, but our paths will never meet.



I one star rating I am giving is because of the friendly manner that you are treated while you are in the office and the front desk ladies are as professional as the rest of the staff. Too bad that you when you go in that you are paying a semester of college for the dentist's children!
