Police Chief is a division of the City of Henderson Police Department. It supervises more than 320 police officers, including over 50 corrections officers and nearly 150 full-time civilian employees. The City of Henderson Police Department works towards enhancing the quality of life of citizens by working cooperatively with the public and within the framework of the U.S. constitution to enforce the laws, preserve the peace and provide a safe environment. It operates patrol, investigation, technical service and correction divisions. The department also has animal control and records bureaus. In addition, the department maintains a community relations unit and Citizens Academy, which provides training and education about the laws and community issues.
