Larry Lake's gymnastics is such an amazing place! No other gym in town has this type of hands-on attention. I've been taking my daughter there for a few months now and needless to say that I am impressed by all of the coaches. The facility isn't fit for competitive training but has all the right tools to get your child doing gymnastics with good form and technique!

Awful place just looking to take your money, stay clear of this establishment. They are rude! They don't teach, the instructors get frustrated with your children and impatient. I voiced a complaint to the lady at the front desk and she started barking at me and saying I was wrong, didn't even listen to me. Sam the instructor is this old out of shape guy who has no business coaching anyone, he gets angry with your child and ignores them. Total ripoff! All they try to do is try and up sell you and sign up for other things. Beware of Larry Lake Gymnastics. Find another place or anyplace for that matter. Don't waste your time and money with this awful environment.

I once took my niece here to try it out. As promising as the program may be, id have to say it is not. I'd have to say the gym is too small for a lot of kids, and it can be dangerous without proper padding. As an old gym instructor, this gym is not viable. From what i've observed, they dont learn much. My niece told me she wanted to learn more on the vault, but instead they only reviewed basics on tumbling. The kids who have been here also treated her harshly, as i saw they made rude comments to her. Some other parents have told me they often hire new coaches and employees, since none of them were permanent because of certain "fall outs".

Coming from Texas, My son and daughter attended here for a while. They did not like it, since they were treated bad by the teachers. My daughter once cried because the man Larry Lakes yelled at her for not being able to do her back handspring. The cheer program is not as good as they make it to be since they lack proper training and it is in fact very small, and if you want to compete competitively in these sports such as cheer or gymnastics, others have told us to go to gyms like California Allstars (who are in fact REAL world champions) or Gymcats for gymnastics. The gym overall is too small, they do not offer proper training for beam, vault or bars. The way they are placed can be dangerous, since students need a lot of space to do such tricks. Not recommended.

Great teachers

My kids have been coming for some time now. They have had some turn over in the teachers. But the teachers they have now are exciting. World champions. The gym is small but clean and they use all equipment. They have beams and a horse. The basics. The cheer program looks very promising.

Great location. The manager, Stephanie, is a three time World Sports Aerobic Champion from Hungary and is AMAZING!! My children love her. She has really helped them with their tumbling skills and flexibility.

I wouldn't recommend this gym for small children. I pulled my two small boys (ages 3 and 5) out today after Mr. Lake yelled at the three year old for doing a full turn off the trampoline vault instead of a half turn. He literally got in his face and yelled, "Do you have a problem? Do you? Sit down, you're out of here!" My little son was crushed. He wasn't being unsafe, (I am a former cheerleading coach and understand the basics). He was so excited he actually thought he had done it right and looked up to smile at him when the coach got in his face. He singled the 3 year old out months ago to yell at, sit on the sideline, and even skipped him in their Christmas program. I feel terrible as a mother. I should have pulled them out months ago, but my sons still liked it (even though the 5 year old started asking why Mr. Lake didn't like his brother.) As a teacher, former coach and mother I would recommend looking elsewhere. This particular class has gone from 10 kids to 4 in the nine months since he took over teaching the class; I would guess from the number of tears I have seen on little ones. When I said I was pulling them out because of his inappropriate behavior Mr. Lake told me, "crying is a part of it." Not in my opinion. At this age he should be teaching basics and instilling a love of the sport.

zero stars, Larry Lakes is an ...

zero stars, Larry Lakes is an arrogant man. My daycare next door to him brought in a gymnastics thing called Tumblebus because none of the students wanted to go to his school. It is a bus that the kids do gymnastics in. He called the police on the bus not once but 2 times because he cant handle the competition. The kids loved the tumble bus but now it has to go because Larry called out his lawyers on them. Not only that but he drives through the parking lot at 100 miles and hour with no regard for the children. He also parks in the disabled parking with no placard. Please do not provide patronage to any of his businesses.
