DO NOT TRUST THIS DOCTOR!! QUACK, QUACK! He was called in on my mother's case when she had to have surgery. Her surgeon felt she might have heart problems that could cause complications when he did her surgery. She had an accident on July 4th and broke her heel. Dr. Makam saw her in the hospital and then prescribed medication for her to take home, a blood thinner to prevent blood clots, aspirin for her heart, and he also prescribed a Lidocaine patch for her foot ($184.00!!) that she couldn't even use. When she woke up today feeling clammy, cold, and bad in general we checked her over. Her temperature was only 94*, her blood pressure was low and her heart rate was high. I called Dr. Makam's office to see if we should bring her in to do some blood work and see if her blood was getting too thin. He wouldn't even speak to me, but instead had his nurse tell me he never prescribed any medication for my mother???? Of course he DID!! His name is on the prescription!!! He said she should she HER doctor or go to the ER!! OBVIOUSLY THIS MAN CARES NOTHING ABOUT ANYTHING BUT HIS POCKETBOOK!!!!!!!!
