I had the worst experience with the contractor referred by West End Shower and Glass. Because of the referral, we decided to engage in a huge remodeling project with Down Under Tile. The head contractor was barely present at the job site. He and his team abandoned the projects when we refused to continue to pay them until they finished jobs ALREADY paid for. We were increasingly frustrated with the situation and simply asked that they finish up some of the projects before moving forward with others. The contractor is not motivated to resolve the issue and demands that if we don't pay up, he is not coming back to the house. So far, we have paid all plumbing costs, materials such as pocket, closet and bathroom doors that he has with him. He came once to the house for us to discuss and attempt to resolve things, but he pretty much refused to look at the actual numbers i had put together from previous weekly invoices and run through each line item. We feel that money is missing and now we have to pay up extra to get a glass shower door installed, even though that item was already included in a previous invoice. As of now, we have 3 bathrooms in our house still with unfinished tiling, a toilet that needs to be installed, dry wall, trim work, bathroom doors to be installed (doors already paid for). Our counter top company keeps calling us asking when our master vanity will be installed. Everything is basically on hold still for 2 weeks now.....Needless to say, two windows have been damaged, which the contractor agreed to pay for, and then magically, the demo cost the next day after the first window broke went up $800!! We were willing to overlook that, but now it is impossible to track the budget when the cost of line items are being changed without our input or knowledge and we can't tease apart how much of our money he has already for all the unfinished projects that were paid off. Our house is in complete disarray. I do not recommend doing business with people likethis
