Started in 1996, the Summit Academy serves more than 290 students annually in grades 9 through 12 from Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Delaware and Washington, D.C. The academy has a gymnasium, swimming pool, library and athletic fields. Its curriculum includes classes in algebra, geometry, English, history, civics, science, and health and physical education. In addition, the Summit Academy offers guidance counseling services and aftercare programs. It operates Kinght s Pep Club, which supports students on the playing field. The Summit Academy provides opportunities for students to participate in various sports activities, including football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, golf, wrestling, and track and field. The private academy is a part of The Academy, which was established in 1982.
