Elizabeth....It is not any lab's job to know each individual's insurance policy. There is no way any lab can keep up with the details of all the policies that are out there. It IS the labs job to run the tests that YOUR doctor has ordered. YOU are responsible for finding out what is covered and what is not and you and your doctor should decide what needs to be run. I'm sorry you are too lazy to get involved with your own health care but it is not any labs job to care more than you do. I am not an employee of IPL or know anyone who is but I do know something about health insurance and I am very involved in my own care.

This the worst company that i had ever dealt with. I have gone many years in customer service and I would never treat people the way they treated me. Their billing department were closed minded, arrogant, everything is someone else fault.

They tested me without proper verification that the tests had been pre-authorization and / or proved by the insurance company and refused to solved the problem. I believe that they would rather screw me over then do proper customer service which would have been to call up the doctor's office and explain to doctor's office staff what needed to be sent to the insurance company.
