Posting for my brother: If you are thinking about having any tree work done do not use Steve Beck tree and stump removal out of Hermitage.
My neighbor had him cut down trees and he asked if he could use my yard, assuring me that any damage he caused he would fix. Since my father owned his own tree business for almost 40 years I assumed that a professional would make good on his word of fixing any damages that he caused. I told him not to come in if the yard was wet but he did anyway. He entered the yard creating ruts and tore up my yard and my neighbors yard. He broke the fence, left wood chips and bark all over the driveway and yard, and just threw some hay over the damages done from dragging the trees out of their yard and through mine. I called Mr. Beck several times with no response, finally I received a text message from him telling me that he doesn't fix yards.
I guess he doesn't clean up his mess, clean the oils stains left from his vehicles, fix the fences that he has damaged or return phone calls. I would highly suggest against using him for your tree removal (or allowing him to use your yard to remove a neighbor's tree). He might give you a good price but it is not worth the money you will have to spend on fixing what they damage. Very unprofessional.

I would highly recommend Mr. Beck. He removed a large stump out of our front yard and did a really nice job and he charged us a fair price.

Mr. Beck did a great job, he came out to give me an estimate the first day I called and gave me a very fair price. He completed the job, which consisted of 3 major trees, topping another and removing a stump, quickly and did a nice job cleaning up. I was very happy with the service.

I asked Mr Beck for an estimate to have my tree and stump removed. When he came I was not home so he left his card on my door and on the card he wrote a price quote for $1200.00 WITH tree stump removal. I didn't call him as I didn't want to pay that price. But he called me the next day and asked if I got his card with the quote and I said I did but that was too much money. I also told him I knew of two people he did trees for WITHOUT stump removal and charged them $500.00 a tree. So I didn't want to pay $1200.00 WITH stump removal. He said what if I do it today for $900.00. I said "No, that I would need time to think about it." So at this point he said "What if I do it today for $800.00?" So I said "Okay do it." Thinking he was going to do it with tree and stump removal since he never said at any point that he would not be removing the stump with the lower price (plus the fact when he brought all his equipment he brought the equipment to take out the stump with our agreed upon $800.00 price. I was at work when he cut the tree. My son called and told me that he wanted $150.00 dollars more to take out the stump. I had to pay it or not have my stump removed.
