I I dropped my engagement ring off at Goldmine to have one of the small side diamonds replaced on the band. When I picked it up, the bottom of the ring looked completely damaged.

Gold Mine had replaced two of my diamonds with smaller stones, and filled the empty space with yellow and white gold (filler).

The owner, Lewis, said the small diamonds on my ring were "hard to replace" and that yes, they had just used filler. He said my best option was to get a completely new ring - he actually told me that after HE was the one who ruined it. I took it back to Zales, where I purchased it, and they said they had never seen a ring so badly damaged or poorly repaired. The manager's exact words were that it looked like a kindergartner had repaired it.

I do have an insurance policy on the ring, but the owner told my insurance company that the ring was damaged and pronged incorrectly when I brought it to him, which was a lie. I have inspections stating that it was in perfect condition.

This store is a JOKE!!! I just moved back to Hermitage about 6 months ago and planned on proposing to my girlfriend of 2 years. I googled local jewelers and this place came up. I was SO embarrassed that I had brought her to this place that calls itself a jewelry store. Instead it looks like a shady gold buy place or something. Weird music pictures on the walls, and concrete floors. They only have a few rings in one of their like 2 or 3 cases.. And everything looks used and old. They told me they could custom design me something if I paid for it up front! Really??? Pay for something that I can't see?? Then they started dogging other jewelry stores in Hermitage and Mt Juliet. That done it for me. If you are that type of person to have to dog others to get business and expect money up front for something I can't see, then these guys are sure to go out of business soon. NEVER go here!!!!
