Do not go, unless you have a lawyer present to get in writing the details of the surgery. You go in for one thing and they just do whatever they want while they're in there claiming that they have your best interest in mind. But they forget that patient's have rights (to have a say in your medical treatment). Just because you agreed to let them perform surgery doesn't not give them the right to disregard your rights just because you are incapible of giving them an answer at that moment in time. I never would have agreed to a lateral release because I know my body and I know that it is not going to heal properly. I now have fluid build up around my knee which in a lateral release bleeding into the knee after surgery can be a side affect that can cause a lot of pain and swelling.
