Since 1984, Ames Industries has been designing and building tooling that demands close tolerance requirements, and provides injection molding for a variety of advanced thermoplastic products. Based in Hershey, Pa., the company s client list includes Tyco Electronics, Schindler Elevator Corp., and FCI USA. The machinists at Ames Industries prepare cost estimates, design the mold and oversee the construction of precision tools for a wide range of custom product requirements. They design a client s mold on a computer-aided design and manufacturing system to specific custom requirements. Finished parts are packaged with barcoding facility, and shipped based on customer order specifications. Its in-plant tool shop uses computerized numerically controlled machines, along with industry standard equipment that are utilized in the fabrication of molds.
