The teachers and Admin are outstanding. The clerical staff and tutors are inept. Clerical staff were actually the deal breaker which caused us to kick Alta Vista to the curb. We were dealing with a Social Security benefits issue with the clerical staff which resulted in a DENIAL OF BENEFITS. (Clerical staff was unsure what "Call me as soon as the documents are completed" meant and decided to SUBMIT UNSIGNED DOCUMENTS ON MY BEHALF without AUTHORIZATION). I do not have the time nor patience to endure the forthcoming Social Security appeal which I will be faced with, compliments of the incompetent clerical staff at Alta Vista. Tutors are overgrown children trapped in adult-sized bodies and seem to have a type of "god" complex going on. I actually overheard the Caucasian tutor openly MOCKING a student! These snot nosed monsters were hired to ASSIST students, NOT tear them down!! Perhaps funds could be spent on QUALITY tutors....just a thought! We have also experienced MULTIPLE hangup calls on our home number which turned out to Alta Vista tutors. We ended up blocking the school number due to the vast number of unauthorized calls. Best to be AVOIDED!
