Provided by YP.comI was looking up J&J Performance to see if they have a website, and found this page. Let me tell you about J&J. The first time I took a car to them, they were the 3rd mechanic I visited with my '93 Honda del sol si. The first mechanic told me I needed a new engine, $1500. I didn't have that $ and my gut told me to keep trying. The 2nd mechanic told me he could replace the head gasket for $750 (my engine was losing compression but there was NO sign of leaking externally and my oil / radiator fluid looked clean and clear of cross-contamination. Thank god I took basic auto maintenance & repair classes in college). So following my gut, I started complaining to coworkers and a coworker referred me to them as one of the two most (or only) reputable mechanics in the high desert. So I went in (I had to, my car was sputtering like crap!) My 3rd mechanic, I told him about the prior 2 and their "solutions." Jeff had me sit down in his couch while he looked at my car. He came in laughing and said, "I’m gonna have your car running in like 5-10 minutes. I want you to drive your car around the block after I replace your spark plug wires and tell me if the engine problem goes away." I waited, I drove, and it was the spark plug wires the entire time that were causing one of my cylinders to misfire on my 4-cylinder engine. The repair was less than $25. I told him that because of his honesty to protect my money on my car repair I would start brining him the repairs and maintenance for all 3 of my cars. I have never been dissatisfied, inconvenienced or surprised by any repairs Jeff has done. (I think it helps that I own vehicles that are known for being more trustworthy and reliable than others, but that is another matter entirely as some people buy lemons, lol.) Mechanics may have a bad rep, but I think you pay for what they aren't as well as what they are, and Jeff is honest and dependable. For the record, I left Lucerne valley (and the high desert) and I still drive my Del sol up to Jeff to have him do repairs because I don't trust mechanics unless I’m referred to them by someone I trust who uses that person. I had to put my short story up here.
Thank you Jeff and Joey for always being honest, fair, and working with me. I love giving you guys my business because I end up saving money doing business with you!
