The mechanic started by being incredibly pessimistic and tried to tell us it would be nearly impossible to fix when we knew it wouldn't be. It took two of our group to start tugging the ripped up tire off before he started to work, and after giving a half hearted attempt, he left his tools with us and walked off. We succeeded in removing the shredded tire and then alerted him we were ready to put the new tire on. He did his very best to hustle us for all our money (including asking for weed when we didn't have enough cash to satisfy him) and even tried to push up the price after he let us do half the work. We reluctantly reached an agreement, then drove down the road to the gas station, where we stopped to check the pressure of our other tires and noticed the new one was actively losing air (less than 20 minutes after leaving the tire place). We drove back and confronted the guy with the problem, and when I called him out on a bad job done, he stared me down as if trying to decide whether to fight me then tried to blame us for the tire losing air. We made him fix it and left, but this place is a seriously rip off with some super shady people.
