Dr. Vardeman diagnosed our 14 year old Manx as having kidney disease. He did not make us feel guilty about not spending lots of money just to prop her up. He was so compassionate and kind while he monitored her condition and helped us keep her happy and pain free for as long as possible. Love him and his staff.

We just had our little Fur Baby Tebow's teeth cleaned today. I can't say enough about how pleased we are with Hiawassee Animal Hospital. I was anxious because Tebow is 10 years old and he had to be sedated for the procedure. I was totally put at ease as soon as we arrived at the office. We were welcomed and they called Tebow by name. They explained that a blood test would be taken to be sure he was healthy enough for the sedation. The staff really seemed to care about Tebow and addressed our concerns assuring us they would keep us up to date on how he was doing. Also, I had the checked around regarding the cost and even though it is not an inexpensive procedure, they were 1\3 to 1\2 the cost of the other office's I checked. Thanks and blessings to everyone at Hiawassee Animal Hospital.

This is the number one vet service in this area of N. GA and SW NC. I have a small rescue called Lost Dogs Run and I have tried them all. This is the one I recommend for a vet that is not trying to make money off of the misery of rescue animals.

If you care about your animal ...

If you care about your animal at all, don't take them to Hiawassee Animal Hospital. I have a dog with cancer and he is suffering a lot. I inquired with the hospital about euthanasia and told to be in the office by 11:40am. I was there at 11:45 and was refused service by Karen. This was on a Saturday, so there were no other options for me except in Blue Ridge, which cost twice as much and I couldn't afford it. This place has no compassion at all for animals.

Great Service

Dr. V, Dr. Smiley, and Staff all have their clients best interests at heart.

We have six kitties and in this sluggish economy it is a relief to take the kids to a kind vet who keeps their costs to patients at a reasonable rate.

Thank you Dr.'s V. & S.!
