Recently I filled out an application to adopt a kitten and I was denied the reason for this was because I had adopted a great little dog from this shelter and she got off her leash on may 16,2018 and ran away. Still searching for her each day. When I adopted her she was given up because of severe anxiety disorder which she had greatly overcome and no longer a problem. I later found out from a friend of the previous owner this dog was a runner big time anytime she could manage to free herself she was gone. So now Brown County of Hiawatha Ks director P Shafer because of this will not allow me to adopt another pet. I have always been a responsible pet owner tending to all my pets medical needs of which I presented copies from vets to verify this to you and to be true and I resent the fact you find me unworthy of adopting how dare you?
