Provided by YP.comWe are a LOng island based company that restores antique automobiles professionally. We have used this company to powdercoat over 500 individual parts in the last 3 years. We have never had a bad experience, nor been unhappy with the results. The costs are fair, and well within the normal charges for this type of service, if not even a bit less in cost. The owner is very helpful, and goes out of his way to help clients with schedule and job costing reqiuirements. They can handle parts from the very small to entire automobile chassis.
We highly recommend.

Provided by YPmobileI should of known better the minute I walked in to this place the work was going to be as horrible as the mess and the dirt going on as soon as you walk through that door. But I said to myself don't judge a book by its cover. Well I should of went with my initial gut feeling. The work was done last minute which I was told was done a while ago and had sufficient time to dry. Well it surely wasn't and the work was horrible. I didn't even want to hear why the work looked so last minute and not done properly. Because I knew why. Sloppy place, sloppy work, it all made sense once I got my piece. So I paid and left being more angry at myself for trusting my things with such a dirty and disgusting place. I will never ever return.

Provided by YP.comHad a great experience with this company. They restored all the wrought iron furniture from my yard and it looks like new. When my brother saw the furniture, he made arrangements to have his outdoor furniture done also. The owner actually came in on a Saturday just for me to pick up my table and chairs.........

Provided by YP.comTo start thier prices are high, job was quoted 20% above thier competors within the same area. However I did not find this out until I cancellled my work with them and shopped around.
Last, their work is inferior and they do not stand behind thier work to the level you expect.
I'm giving them only 1 star just becuase I have to.
WE ALWAYS STAND BEHIND ALL OF OUR WORK 100PERCENT. IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WE WILL CORRECT IT EVEN IF IT APPEARS NOT TO BE OUR FAULT AND AT NO CHARGE. OUR PRICES ARE COMPETITIVE AND OUR CUSTOMER RETURN FOR PROBLEMS IS 1 IN MORE THAN 250. EVERYONE MISSES SOMETHING SOMETIME BUT WE BACK OUR WORK AND WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM EVEN WAY DOWN THE ROAD.

Provided by YP.comI don't typically like to write a bad review for any company as everyone's experience can be different depending on the circumstances. I am prompted to do so now because of the incredibly poor service I have received. I took several valuable vintage auto engine parts to Colorlife for powdercoating. I was called to pick up my completed parts after several days. Once I arrived I was told that my parts were still not ready and in the oven, this is after they called me to pick them up. Once they were done, I took my parts home only to notice extreme cracking in the coating on nearly all the parts. I returned and they assured me that they would fix it. Again, I was called and the supposedly finished parts were still cracked but now there were also chips in the paint (powdercoating isn't supposed to chip) and instead of sandblasting the parts and re-coating, they went over the old paint which consequently darkened the color from what I initially requested and the parts no longer matched in color. This time I was told that the problem was with the clear coating they used. This was not my problem as I did not request the use of a specific clear coat brand. They chose to use a clear that had issues. Again, they promised to fix the problem. At this point I told them that if I had to return, we were going to have to talk about a refund. I was told not to worry. The last time I picked up my items, there we still cracked and there were more chips. Unacceptable! I was denied a refund and was told that I would just have to keep returning to them until they got it right. I don't understand how this is an acceptable business practice. I will NEVER go back to them nor would I ever recommend them to anyone. Completely and utterly unsatified. Very shoddy work.
