Started in 1995, Parkview Elementary serves more than 420 students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. The school s curriculum includes math, reading, English, Spanish, biology, chemistry, physics, history, computer technology, social studies, and health and physical education. In addition, it administers accelerated reader and Title I programs. Parkview Elementary offers a range of extracurricular activities, such as dance, drama, music and art. The school provides after-school tutorial classes and works in partnership with the High Point Bank and Trust and First United Methodist Church. It is a part of Guilford County Schools, which is one of the leading districts in North Carolina. Also known as GCS, the district enrolls over 71,000 students in nearly 120 elementary, middle and high schools.
