Dr. DeGraff is one of the most compassionate vets I have ever met. She has saved two of my dogs when no one else could figure out what was wrong. I spent thousands of dollars and almost lost them. I took them to see her and she worked fast to figure out what was wrong and even did research for natural ways to help. I had to put one of my older dogs to sleep because it was time and Dr. DeGraff stood there and cried with me. She really does care about these babies. I'm so very happy I found her and recommend her highly to everyone!

Horrible vets here. I read the reviews here and just can't imagine being in the same building as I have not seen the compassion or care for animals here as others have. I would wait an hour and longer and then be rushed in and out. No real care given. Always in a rush. Always guessing and not sure about things. Let's try this and wait. No real testing or being sure about something. They don't care about life of an old dog. Terrible vets and staff.

Dr Amy has taken care of ALL my babies 2 dogs 9 birds and an injured bunny wabbit, not mine but took it there she took care of it .I only wish the human hospitals around this area were as kind as compassionate as all the staff at Highland Animal.Just one week ago my darling Emma went to Heaven and I know she was handled with care and respect. When she was a patient everyone treated her like their own. Thank You Adam for just being there as I sobbed my heart out,you were kind, gentle and treated Emma so sweet. Thank You Dr DeGraff for helping our broken hearts to consider healing, your words of kindness will always stay with us. It's too soon to replace our sweet angel but when we do you will also take care of our new addition's needs. Thank You all.

I recently took my 15 year old cat, Calvin, to see Dr. DeGraaf for an evaluation. He had been losing weight for some time and seemed very weak. I knew it was time to make a decision and made my appointment with Dr. Walker. Dr. Walker was not available, so Dr. DeGraaf graciously fit me into her schedule. She did a thorough and gentle exam and guided me through the difficult decision to say goodbye to my beloved Calvin. She even gave me a hug as I was preparing to leave alone. I later received a sympathy note, with the news that a donation had been made to the vets program at Purdue! I will always be grateful to Dr. DeGraaf and the loving, caring staff at Highland Animal Hospital,

We have been taking our animals, cats and dogs to Dr. Amy for over 20 years. I love the office staff too! Dr. Amy is such a compassionate Vet and person. She has always taken such great care of our animals. Sadly over the past 20 years some of our animals had to go to Heaven and Dr. Amy always has been there for us and always helped us make the right decisions. She is great!

on the evening of monday, march 19, 2012, my husband and i brought our very ill, cat to the highland hospital. my family and i have brought our pets there for 40 years back when dr. jarvis, dr dale and dr ferguson were there. my cat chester was brought back to the "treatment room" and from that point on i was not allowed to see or comfort him. i was told that dr. haliburt would not see me to discuss care of my 18 year old cat because she had patients to see that made appointments. i'm sure any of those patients' owners would've understood a 2 minutes discussion between myself and dr. haliburt when chester was in grave condition. i wanted to make the right coices for his care and was allowed to only speak to a tech and was also not allowed to see my cat who i was told was in "distress". i don't believe dr walker would've let me leave without saying goodbye to my friend of 18years. chester passed away two hours later. i'm saddened by the treatment i received. things have changed there.

Had been going to another vet for years and my dog's skin condition was not improving, after months and months. Dr. Halaburt took one look at her and decided another route of care was needed and urgent. Since then, she has improved 90% immediately. Thank you for all the time you spent with us on our initial visit! And thank you staff, including Amy and Karen for your assistance with all my questions!!

Our furry family has been seeing Dr. Halaburt and her staff for over 9 years. Unfortunately, one of our dogs became ill and everyone at the clinic was so supportive and answered all of questions. Their kind words and caring ways helped us get through a very painful time in our life. We recommend them to all of our friends who are animal lovers.

Dr. DeGraaff is an amazing veterinarian. I switched to her from Dr. Halaburt in that practice. Both lady vets are good, but I did not feel that Dr. Halaburt was giving me the attention I needed. I was not sure she was taking the proper steps in providing the best care for my pets and she never returned any of my phone calls. I felt as if I was being pushed aside.Dr, DeGraaff is awesome. She takes time with me everytime I am in with one of my pets. She does a throrough examination and gives me several different treatment options when/if we do find something wrong.I have never had experience with Dr. Walker, but would be willing to give him a try to

Dr Amy Halaburt, and Dr. Anne DeGraff is the best doctors they have at Highland. They have more caring and more feeling in their little fingers then Dr. Michael Walker has in his whole body!!!!!!! Dr. Michael Walker is an uncaring, unfeeling, Black Hearted son of a B..... in my book, and he does not know how to treat animals, or his employees right. So, if you want quality care and helpful service, go see either Dr. Amy Halaburt or Dr. Anne DeGraff. You can never go wrong with those two!!!!!!!!!! Both of these Doctors is Tops in my book!!!!!!!!!!! One more thing, if the office manager Cindy Schreffler is still there, Don't listen to her either!!!!!!!!

I have had experience with all the Vets. there. I picked Dr Degraaf mostly because a choice had to be made and a great choice at that. Everyone on staff at this facility will not disappoint. They are all serious pet lovers. I can testify to this as I have been going here for at least 15 yrs. with my pets. TY Love, Debbi Tootie Phoebe Winnie Sally Bud Kasha Moe and many rescues...

Dr. Halaburt and the staff in her office are the best of the best! We have gone there for several years because they really care about animals! The staff does a great job at helping put our dogs at ease and my parents always took their cats there with the same results. My dog developed a food allergy and Dr. Amy and the staff (especially Jen) took extra time to work with us to determine the necessary changes. Jessica, another staff member who we happen to know personally has her entire life shown how much she loves animals. So her addition to the office was a natural fit and one that everyone who goes there benefits from. That special love creates a bond with my pets which you would not find any place else. Thank you very much to Dr. Amy and her wonderful staff for making our lives so much easier!

We had to put my dog down on friday april 20th. We normally went to another practice in the area but we were recommended to go to this practice. I didnt go with to put my dog down because it was just too hard, but my parents said the whole staff was so compassionate and caring and seemed very sympathetic. We wish we would have known to go there before we lost our precious baby. Thank you for taking such good care of my little angel.
