One thing is evident when you ...

One thing is evident when you walk into Montessori connection: EVERYONE CARES. It isn't the typical childcare/preschool combo that hires college kids and people just looking for a job- the teachers and other faculty members are uniquely suited for this environment. Even before the first day of school the Principal knew my son's name as well as mine. The teachers are very friendly and pay special attention to the unique character of their students. The most amazing revelation was walking into the building one day and thinking the kids must be outside since it was so quiet- when in fact the classrooms were filled with kids smiling and happily working away with a low buzz of chatter. The respectful command the teachers possess is inspiring and I find myself applying some of the concepts at home! They also make a concerted effort to involve the parents in the education process by hosting a weekly coffee/lecture series on the different Montessori methods.

My son loves going to school in the morning and talks about his teachers and friends. When he arrives- one of the other kids usually walks up and says- " would you like to work with me?" It is adorable. Having a happy kid who is learning new things every day is really the most important thing to me.

My son has been going to the M...

My son has been going to the Montessori Connection in Deerfield Rd in Highland Park for the past 7 months and we absolutely love it. The teachers are gems and have taught my son so much. The love and attention he receives is amazing. It is so rewarding to see how happy he is with his teachers and friends. It makes me feel so proud to hear something new come out of his mouth that he learned at school, like a song, or something they have learned in the classroom. The Montessori Connection is a family and I am so happy to be part of it. I would recommend this school to my best friends, family members, and complete strangers in a heart beat.

Montessori Connection is a won...

Montessori Connection is a wonderful school. Both of my children attended this school from the ages 2 through their kindergarten year. I can't praise the teaching and office staff enough. The office staff was always willing to accommodate my schedule change requests. The teaching staff is caring, well educated, friendly and understanding. My children excelled academically while at Montessori Connection....all while having fun too! I highly recommend Montessori Connection to anyone looking for a quality education in a nurturing environment.

Not the excellent school that you expect...

I signed my son up for the full day program. The school knew that my son has speech delays and occupational therapy needs. They agreed to allow a speech therapist to come to the school (most schools do). On the business day prior to my son's first day of school (my husband and I both work full time), the school told us in a PC way that the school was not a "fit" for my son and that they thought that he could be disruptive and need one on one special attention. What 2 year old to a new preschool doesn't need special attention? This school was totally dishonest and I think that there are discriminatory practices going on- I don't recommend this school to anyone.
