Cresthill Middle School offers academic programs to approximately 800 students in grades seven and eight. The school is a part of the Douglas County School District. It has an athletics department that supports various sports activities, including cross country, football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, golf, and track and field. Cresthill Middle School offers membership for several after-school clubs and activities, such as the National Junior Honor Society, student council, math counts, and chess, art and writing clubs. The school has a library and media center that houses a variety of accelerated reader books, magazines, textbooks, encyclopedias and dictionaries. Its curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies and physical education.
