My son signed an agreement to get insurance for a rental that Allstate was paying for due to a rear-end collision. He got the optional insurance because he mistakenly thought that he needed it. The car (his car) is under my policy and so he was not aware that he already had collision ins. under that policy. After some confusion, the ins. declaration was sent to the local Enterprise branch at 5818 County Line Pl, Highlands Ranch, CO, US, 80126 which showed that he already had the necessary insurance that would cover the rental. I spoke with the manager at the local Enterprise car rental branch, where the car was picked up, and he was unwilling to refund the 350.00 that was charged for this unneeded insurance. This is simply a case of my son being confused about the type of insurance that was on his car at the time he picked up the rental. The manager seems to be more interested in keeping the 350.00 than he is in doing the right thing. He claims that my son signed for the optional insurance and that is that. It is my opinion that he was pressured into adding this insurance even though they knew that he was unsure whether his existing policy would cover the rental car and they now refuse to give him a refund or even a partial refund, for that matter. Bad business at best, not a good way to treat customers. Don't do business here, they are clueless as to how to do the right thing.
