My family and I are new to the Littleton/Highlands Ranch area and I was looking for a local GP office for a long overdue wellness visit. My wife and I both made separate appointments at Fam Med at HR with different Doctors. I researched both Dr Rupel and Dr Beezley and felt comfortable with either, so I took the first available appointment with Dr Rupel. It was a quick appointment and he was easy to discuss my health concerns with. Although he did not perform all the "regular" tests as part of the visit, I assumed he was not doing unnecessary tests in an effort to be more efficient and focus on what were possible concerns for my age and medical history. For that I was grateful, as Dr visits are not always the most pleasant, but had I known why this was the case, I may have asked why things weren't being performed as I have come to expect. The major problem I had with my experience is with Dr Rupel's policy on new patients that was not communicated when the initial appointment was made. I scheduled what I believed was a wellness visit assuming it would be covered by insurance. Shortly after, I was disappointed to get a notice from my Insurance Company that I owed over $125 for the visit. When I called to get clarification, I was told the appointment was billed as a "medical necessity". So I called the Fam Med office and spoke with the office manager to get it re-billed as a wellness visit, thinking that would be easy enough. Nope! Dr Rupel's policy, and the only Dr with the this type of policy at this practice, is to not perform wellness visits for new patients on the initial visit. Had I been informed of that, I would have not scheduled the appointment with Dr Rupel and waited for Dr Beezley. The office manager was less than helpful and not very understanding that the policy was never communicated. She even went so far as to place the blame for the misunderstanding on me saying that I admitted to her that I knew the policy. She offered to speak with Dr Rupel about the issue and call me back the next day. I am yet to receive a call back, but assume it was a "oh that's too bad, policy is policy" conversation since I have now received the bill.Again, I felt Dr Rupel was good, and would go back to him again, except it has now been 2 months since that visit, I still have not had a wellness visit , and I also have a bill I was unaware I was going to get.I am going to schedule another new patient wellness visit, but at a different practice, since this was just such a poor experience to begin with.

I have been seen at this location for the past eight years. I use to see Tay Kaponos until she left to teach. I saw several different people that were all good. I especially like Dr. Schipper and I try and see her exclusively when I go in for anything, but all the doctors there do a great job. I have never had a bad experience. I have never had to wait more than ten minutes, not ever! My 13 yr old son was seen by Dr. Schipper a few times, and he really liked her too. My parents have their own small business and they don't have health insurance. They haven been seen by Dr. Rupel several times and they will always go back to him.

Didn't have the same experience mentioned in other reviews. Not that I visit a doc often. Called for getting severe back pain checked. Was told that nothing was available for Dr. Rupel. I then proceeded to ask when. Got rude answer of "not for a while". Asked if any other docs available and was told yes. The appointment was for about a week later and I aggreed. Got a call the Friday before the Monday appointment to a number that i did not give them to cll me on. Of course did not get the message until well after business hours. Now I have complete scheduled my work day around that and off course have no options for setting an appointment anytime soon. Looks like another week of it feeling like someone is stabbing me in the back. Guess I'll find another Dr.

I have been nothing but impressed by the care Dr. Schipper has given me and my daughter. She takes the time to listen and get to know you. She treats you how she would herself and family. I feel so blessed to have found her! Marcia up front is so amazing also at working with you to get in.

They are very good about fitting you when you are sick. They also keep Satruday hours. I walked in at 4:45 pm with an injured finger and they stayed late to take care of me so I didn' t have to go to urgent care or the hospital.

I love Dr Schipper. She takes the time to listen to whatever problem you might have (both big and small). I have also seen Dr. Beezley. You never feel hurried to get through the appointsment. The office staff is always very accommodating to fit you in for appointments. The staff also seems to keep on time. You rarely have to wait long to see the doctor.

I see both Dr. Rupel and Daffeny - depending on who is available. Both are excellent practitioners. Daffeny always takes the time to review my history so I'm not answering the same questions everytime I'm in. It's very refreshing! They are also great about working me in when I'm sick and don't have a scheduled appointment. The ladies at the front desk are almost always very friendly. I truely appreciate their kindness and professionalism. I highly recommend them!
