I just started back up in the hobby this year after taking a few years off. I love the staff at Neptunes and have spent hundreds of dollars on their fish ...each of them alive and well months later. They have even talked me out of several purchases when I was making a poor choice due to my particular set up. They are honest and although sometimes slightly higher priced ..I will continue to shop there!

Walk in there with a few questions the girl with the octopus tattoo was very insulting. she was extremely rude. they're just all about making money. high prices with siCk fish

the prices are way too high for the rude service that they provide. condescending and very disrespectful. the girl with the tattoos has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. and she doesn't even know what she's talking about.they're just all about making sales. there's something wrong with the creepy guy with the glasses keep your kids away.

Good selection of live plants and fresh water fish and shrimp. Staff is knowledgeable.

I was relatively new to having a marine aquarium. Having kept easy keepers alive for a year so I went in looking to get some additional fish. I have a 30 gal tank and told the employee that was helping me with my questions. She pointed out a juvenile dragon wrasse after having me explain my set up! After watching him grab my cleaner shrimp and bite a chunk out of the middle, obviously killing it and eating the rest, I looked up about the fish, neptunes sold me as "reef safe". On top of it they won't let me bring it back for store credit! Just get the run around as to call back this day or next week... I paid $75 for a fish to eat $200 plus in inverts and snails, easily.

I read other reviews on this site, so took the chance and drove in from Evergreen after calling the owner and asking some questions. We just set up a saltwater tank about a week ago and went through the cycle after purchasing cycled water, live sand, cycled live rocks, etc. The owner was WONDERFUL and made sure to sell us only two clown fish and a long nosed hawkfish that my son fell in love with. She was sure to keep us away from other purchases telling us that our tank needs to be more established and our fish need to be settled more before adding more to the tank. The fish are doing great and seem incredibly healthy! They are eating well, etc. Prices were definitely higher than we've seen around Denver, but then again, the tanks were cleaner and we were treated with better attitudes and our countless questions were answered with patience which made it worthwhile!

Find a better fish store with better employees!



Picked out a Blue starfish from the tank, however, also noticed a second star in the same tank that was "throwing up" his innerds. Thought about not getting the starfish, and the sales person said, don't worry about it, this other one is fine, looks healthy etc. Well, 24 hours later mine was also throwing up, and is now dead. Horrible recommendation by their employee to have me purchase it. Equally bad on my part to think is was remotely ok to go ahead with it. Lesson learned :( Will never shop here again. BUYERS BEWARE!

I love this place! I do all my shopping there. They have the healthiest fish around. Friendly and helpful staff that are willing to spend time with you. I don't know what all those other bad comments are about. I have shopped at Neptune's for many years now. I highly recommend it to any one who cares about their fish.

I have only shopped at Neptunes for Years now.... I braught in a Parrot Chiclid late one night and the "Girl" that works there was very unhappy with my timing.... I was very appologetic, however she still continued to give attitude. There is an overweight guy who hates his job there and smell's absolutely awful... Not just once, but every time I went there. The other day I spent over $100.00 on fish there. One fish died and I brought it back.... The same girl gave me attitude about a water sample. I am not a novice, I spend hundreds of dollars there a year. The only person I would ever work with there is the store manager. Neptunes customer service has absolutely gone down the tubes........ DONT GO THERE ANYMORE!!!!! If you get the Fat guy.... Wear your nose plugs....

I wasn't overly impressed with the store, the selection was pretty much common stock, the staff was friendly, but that's really all I remember about the store... I've only been once so maybe I just wasn't in a fish mood... Its one of the only stores in town that I hear consistently good things about so maybe it was just me...

As a first-time aquarium owner, the salespeople I met with on two different visits were very helpful and spent a great deal of time answering my questions. Great selection, very dedicated salespeople, and seem to really care about the health of the fish, even after they've left the store. I would recommend this establishment to anyone.
