We purchased an above ground pool a year ago and paid for them to level the land and install. Upon breaking land, they dug too close to our two story deck and exposed the support beams which is pretty much unfixable. The pool liner had 33 wrinkles (that we counted) which should be flawless, but the BIGGEST flaw was that there was a hole in it and we were losing water. Due to it being the end of the season, they had promised to return in the spring to replace the liner and pay for new water haul. Due to unfortunate circumstances, we had to move from our property and called to see if we moved the newly installed pool to our new property, if they would still honor their promise. This company agreed and even offered us to use their contractors to help re-install the pool.

This year we re-installed the pool. They sent a crew to put in the new liner that they owed us (who left cigarette butts all over our yard) and told us to send them a copy of the water hauling bill which totaled $850. We received a phone call from the head installer saying that he was not going to pay us the money and we didn't deserve the new liner that had been installed. This dirty company will take your money and run.

My advice: Do business with a local hungry company who need satisfied clients to stay in business. Scioto Valley disgusts me.

Stay Away! The customer servi...

Stay Away! The customer service is TERRIBLE. Once they have your money they do not care about you as a customer. We bought a pool table set and most of the things were delivered as we were told but not all of them. Now it has been almost two months since purchasing and we still do not have the complete. We were given the run around every time we called, they always said its on the truck to be delivered within the next week at the most two. After a month of that game we are still waiting. DO NOT BUY FROM SCIOTO VALLEY!!!

Buying a floor model spa? Buyer beware...read on...

Be careful purchasing CAL SPA floor model spas...we bought our spa 2 WKS AGO AND STILL IT IS NOT WORKING.. parts tend to get "borrowed" off the floor models. Jet was missing, and was replaced before delivery...but after filling it up with water and turning it on for the first time, 1 of the diverter knobs flew up about 3 feet into the air, spraying water everywhere. The water level dropped about 8" inches. (When you have to pay for water, this amounts to quite a bit of $$). Seems the packing for that diverter knob had also been borrowed. Went to the store, and got new packing and fixed it ourselves. Next had problems with the heater kicking off...tub has only heated to 60 degrees or so and has a low flow error code. Called and they came next day and checked it. Problem is the pump is not capable of pushing the quantity of water through it, which is a design problem. Didn't tell us when they would be back, so another phone call. Back the next day to replace pump. Was told that Cal-Spa knows pump is bad, but doesn't want to do the right thing and send recall letter and replace them. SCIOTO VALLEY KNOWS THIS AND CONTINUES TO SELL THEM. Repairman back next day to replace pump..assures everything OK. 2 hours later, heater has once again kicked off and "low flow" error code again. Called Salesman...went off on him. Service Manager has called...went off on him. They supposedly are coming back again tomorrow. I'm ready to drain it and give it back. BUT IN ALL FAIRNESS TO SCIOTO VALLEY, they are trying to resolve the issues.

this is a nice place easy to get to , you can see it from the freeway. great place to buy a pool but I think if you are just interested in a table you could probably find one somewhere less expensive
