To Any Potential Customers,

Please beware before placing an order! I ordered my son's 4th birthday cake from Pasteleria Las Princesas 2 weeks before my son's birthday party. They gave me my quote, I paid for half of the cake, and were told it would be ready to pick up by 9:30 AM the day of the party. Skip ahead to the day before the party; my husband called to confirm the pickup time of the cake and he was told,"the cake will be ready and in the fridge by 9:30am so you can pick it up any time after that,".

My son was looking forward to his birthday cake, because it was the centerpiece to his party - or it should have been. When we arrived at the bakery in the afternoon, I handed a lady my ticket and receipt for payment and pick up. She shook her head no, and went to the gentleman behnd the counter who was talking on his cell phone. They continued to speak in whispers for 5 minutes before I asked if there was a problem. The man said that the cake wouldn't be ready for another hour and a half to two hours. I told him that my receipt said the cake would be ready by 9:30 am, and the man whom we spoke with the day before confirmed this. He told us that the receipt for the cake to be made had been lost and that the cake had not even been made. This cake was 3 layers with a lot of detail, so there was no time to wait, the party started in 1 hour. He then continued to try to persuade my husband and I to wait the two hours for my cake to be made for the next 20 minutes. I kept declining, reiterating that there was no time, and at this point we were going to have to go buy a cake somewhere else, thus making us to late to our son's party. I became very angry and demanded my money be returned and the bag of candy for the cake be returned. They had 3 employees at this point at the counter: the man I was dealing with, the lady I handed the receipt to, who was now on the phone, and a third woman who didn't make eye contact or talk to us the entire time. The man claimed he was looking for the bag of candy, but never got up to look for it, no one did. I became very angry at this point since they were wasting our time and causing us added stress to now find another cake and being late to our son's birthday party. I told the man to get up and look for the bag of candy because I didn't have any more time to waste, with a few explitives thrown in there. He then proceded to argue with me about how he was looking for it and how he was not stupid and he understood what he needed to do, miraculously without getting up to do anything! Finally after threatening to go into the bakery section and find it myself, the third woman who didn't speak to us once went into the back and retreived the bag of candy with the receipt to make the cake. The man handed me my down payment and followed us out of the bakery begging us to take a cake at half price...HALF PRICE!!!! I told him he was an idiot if he thought we would ever go back there, let alone give them money again.

Pasteleria Las Princesas is a complete waste of time and money, and I couldn't even tell you if there baked goods are tasty, as they neglected to provide a cake for the birthday party!!!! Please beware if you want to go there, or have a cake made. They are obviously not interested in customer service, or providing goods that you've paid for!
