WinCo Foods can trace its beginnings back to 1967 when Ralph Ward and Bud Williams opened a discount warehouse grocery store in Boise, Idaho, under the name Waremart. The company operated stores under the names of Waremart Food Centers and Cub Foods until 1999 when it changed its store and corporate name to WinCo Foods. It is an employee-owned company that operates a chain of more than 50 stores in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California and Nevada. The company has a staff of more than 9,000 full-time employees throughout the chain. It offers a selection of grocery, meat, produce, bakery, and bulk food and deli products. In addition, the company has a team of more than 200 drivers that not only transport goods from warehouse to stores, but also provide delivery services to customers. The company maintains a presence in Hillsboro, Ore.

We have been buying the BEST beef filet tenderloins steaks here for the last couple of years. Even better than the Costco ones and several dollars a pound less.

Their steak and red meat has been bad since 2013 and not a thing has been done about it. Again went to this Winco and after one day the meat went very very bad and turned brown. I keep telling the meat department my experience and nothing has been done to have better meat. They tell me over and over to take it back but I take public transportation due to disabilities and being very poor and cannot drive due to being so sick. People should not ever have to take back their meat or take anything back for that matter if you have a quality product. Their meat has been bad for a little more than 3 years and they will not do a thing about it and that is bad. I do not have time to keep bringing package after package of meat back that is bad. There seems to be a lot of fraud in beef sales and have heard that for years. Thriftway has bad meat too and never ever will they do a thing about it and keep making bad meat and their bulk foods are also stale and they never did a thing about it. I plan on never ever ever buying their meat again at Winco and plan to never go to the store again because no one their gives a damn or tries to do better about it. All I hear is to bring back the package and it has been still bad since after Thanksgiving 2013. Please never ever ever go there and buy their red meat like steak and other pieces of it because it turns bad in less than a day and like me you will not be able to eat it at all and have to throw it out. I have thrown away since 2013 hundreds of packages of red meat and that is a hell of a lot of waste because they are continuing to fraud the public and do not give a GD about their customers. Their meat is real real bad and when I tell them in the store they all the time say bring it back with the sales slip and people should not ever have to do that with a quality product.
