We undercut doorways and install pass kickboards to make sure our finished products are beautiful to the eye. We leave only the recommended small gap necessary for flooring expansion and shrinkage as determined by the manufacturer’s engineers for floating floor applications to prevent separation or buckling, and usually 1/16 inch tolerance for nailed and glued down hardwoods. We know that proper preparation is key. If your subfloor is not already properly prepared (bare, flat, stiff, clean, dry, etc.), for additional cost we provide floor pull-up, furniture move, staple removal, fastener reseat, floor leveling with leveling compound, vapor barrier for concrete subfloors, and other repairs if necessary, to make sure that we build on a solid foundation.
