Hillsdale College is an independent, coeducational, residential, liberal arts college that offers a range of degree and certificate programs. The college has an annual enrollment of more than 1,300 students and is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. It offers academic courses in classical studies, economics, financial management, French, German, music, physical education, political science, religion, sociology and theater. The college also offers preprofessional programs in medicine and osteopathy, health services, environmental sciences, law and veterinary medicine. It offers various sports, such as baseball, basketball, cross country, football, indoor and outdoor track, swimming and volleyball. Hillsdale College, founded in 1884, is located in Hillsdale, Mich.
