The Hillsdale County Sheriff's Office, Located in Hillsdale, Mich., preserves human lives, protects public peace, prevents crime and disorder, and enforces local, county and federal laws. It operates a communication center that responds to emergency and nonemergency law enforcement, fire and medical assistance calls. The Hillsdale County Sheriff's Office supports a cadet program that educates youths to learn tactics, procedures, laws and other daily duties of police officers. The office also has a records division that manages and processes department reports, requests, firearm permits, registrations and documents.
