Provided by YP.comI originally bought a used jet ski from Hillsdale Power Sports. They said the jet ski was in good working order and they have serviced the jet ski many times. I had multiple problems with the jet ski from the beginning. But, because it was an older model, I wasn't too surprised and thought things like this can happen. Hillsdale Power Sports said they could put in a new engine for $1000 and would last another 10 years. So the following March, I brought them the ski to have a new engine put in. I finally got the ski back 4 months later in July. The price ended being about $2000 for the new engine. They kept adding things as they went, and since I had already put money in, it didn't make much sense to not go with what they were suggesting. They did give me a one year warranty as well. After the new engine went in, it broke down three more times that summer. Each time they did appear to fix it, but still ended up getting $600 more dollars from me. At the end of the season I took it back again, so they could fix it yet again and requested they sell this nightmare. So this following spring, they said it was fixed and they were wiling to sell it for me, however, since I had $4000 in this, there was no way I was going get half of what I had in it, I decided just to keep it. I got about 40 yards in the lake and it stopped in the middle of the lake (AGAIN). I took it to have it looked by a second opinion, and that mechanic revealed that there were wires spliced together, which will eventually short out every time on a watercraft. Hillsdale Power Sports knew this, and whether they did the wiring or not, they knew it was there and still collected my $4000 and never addressed the real problem. I did take it back there in mid June, ONLY because it was still under warranty, and as of today they still have not repaired the jet ski and now they won't even answer my calls. This has been the worst experience and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place outside of a routine service call.

Provided by YP.comI had cause to require the services of HP&M as my trusty trike (OL BLAZE) had become all of a sudden very untrustworthy. Let me down twice in 3 days last weekend. The first time we made it home, to my non mechanical eye all seemed fine. Was low on fuel and seemed to be skipping some . Fueled up , 2 days later she started hard but ran well when warm, I took her for a spin and uh-o. At the 3 way corner of Bacon & Manning when I stopped so did she. Would not start..... Thanks to Jeff Layman for letting me put her in his store for the evening whilst I rounded up a trailer. I called HP&M and was told bring her right in, I was surprised to receive a call 2 days later that she was ready. Yippee , weekend riding, In addition to needing the valves adjusted a vacuum hose was found to have hole in it, also spark plug cap was cracked inside. Was not visible. No wonder she was displeased with me. Many thanks to Rob for getting me back on 3 wheels. Fine service, she runs better than when she was fresh out of the crate. Suspect issues may have existed since new as she always a bit hard to start if cold. This was my first experience with HP&M and I will definitely return for service and repairs when required.

Provided by YP.comThe folks at Hillsdale Powersports and Marine are very friendly! We bought a used jetski from them in May and were really glad they offered a one year warranty. The jetski was described as “ready to go,” but apparently it still needed some work before it would run on the water. We waited a month for the repair to be done, which was hard since it was a seasonal item and we were anxious to use it. We were really excited when they finally told us it was ready, but disappointed again when it still didn’t run. We sought out a second opinion (at our own expense, of course) and were dismayed to learn the jetski needed a new engine. When they learned of our plight, Hillsdale Powersports and Marine took the initiative to contact us and asked if we wanted them to repair it or give us a full refund. We were extremely grateful to receive our money back as we had been worried that we were going to be stuck paying for a jetski that didn’t work. Sadly, we hadn’t been smart enough to test the jetski before we spent almost $400 on license plates and supplies that we never used—in the future we will be more careful not to make that same mistake. Hopefully our situation was just a fluke, but we definitely recommend paying extra for a warranty and can tell you that Hillsdale Powersports and Marine will stand behind their products :-)
