The Hillsdale Police Department enforces laws, preserves peace, and protects lives and property, as well as safeguards civil rights. It operates bicycle patrol, crime prevention, detective, juvenile aid, records and traffic bureaus. The department maintains a communication and dispatch center that responds to police, fire, and medical emergency and nonemergency calls.
