Everyone who visits HHI owes it to themselves to better understand the history of the Island is this is a great place to do it. Despite the oppressive heat and humidity, we really enjoyed the exhibitions and grounds of the museum.

Directions to Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn 70 Honey Horn Drive, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926 From off Island – After crossing the bridge to Hilton Head Island, travel 3 miles on Business 278 to Gum Tree Rd (Do not take the Cross Island Expressway). This will be the third traffic signal. Turn Right at Gum Tree Rd. and follow the signs to Honey Horn (call 843 689 6767 From mid-island – Go west on William Hilton Parkway; turn left at Gumtree Road and turn immediately right into the Museum
