Provided by YP.comOur family have had exceptional service at Liberty Regional Medical Center. We have used the ER, Radiology, Lab, Liberty Family Medicine and Liberty Surgical Associates. All the physicians and staff have been very professional and caring. I will continue to use Liberty for my family's care. Thank you, Liberty! Keep up the great work!

Provided by YP.comThis place is an absolute DISGRACE to the medical field. I brought my mother in to the E.R because she has a chemical burn in her eye. Not one nurse or doctor came in to our room while we were there...mind you, we were there for three hours. When asked, they said they only have one nurse and one doctor on staff...but why? This is a "hospital" emergency room that should be properly staffed to ensure that when an emergency arises, patients are properly cared for. There is absolutely no reason for this. I highly recommend going to a different hospital if it is a real emergency. Highly disgracful. I will be making plenty of phone calls to upper level in the morning. Something will be done about their negligence.

Provided by YP.comI wouldn't cone here to DIE! This hospital is gross, unprofessional, unknowlegable and RUDE. I brought my neighbor up here and the minute we walked in the door, the nurse wouldn't listen to her complaints, kept talking over her, and every sentence started withe "In my 30 years experience..." to outright tell a patient they are wrong about their issues and what brought them here is unethical. I will be filing a complaint with this hospital and I honestly hope they fix this place. Supposedly the ER wing is brand new, it looks like nobody takes care of it. Oh, icing on the cake, they tried to put us in a dirty room saying "no other rooms are available" when I clearly saw 5 or 6 rooms open, cleaned, and waiting for someone.

Provided by YPmobileI was brought to Liberty Memorial emergency room in April of this year. I was under the care of dr. Harrington while in the emergency room. I came in with severe stomach cramps and the first thing he thought was I had overdosed on medication since he saw I had oxycodone in my medication list. I was also brought in by squad coming in and out of consciousness. They had me signing important papers even though I was not in the right frame of mind to do so. They did not wait on my husband to arrive at the hospital so that he might send the papers. I was given I believe narcon or Narcan they give to reverse a drug overdose. They spoke with my husband and my daughter and were in the frame of mind that I had either overdosed on mine or my husband's pain medication or I had stashed some away where my husband and daughter could not find them. My husband and daughter tried many times to tell them I do not overdose on meds that it is basically hard for them to get me to take my meds. After the results came back negative for overdosing the doctor had no idea how to proceed next. I had also been seizing going from a tense to a relaxed state. I was in the emergency room from 10 p.m. Till 6 a.m. The next morning. No diagnosis was made other than overdosing by the emergency room physician. I was admitted to the hospital where I stayed a week after being diagnosed by the second floor physician with colitis after being sent for a CT scan of my pelvis area including my colon and gallbladder which was also somewhat enlarged as well. Because of no diagnosis when I reached the second floor I was put on a regular food menu and had to eating regular food for two days before the doctor came in on his regular rounds at lunch time and found me eating solid foods. He was very upset and immediately put me on a liquid diet for the rest of my stay. To be clear this was a gastroenterologist. The DR that was on duty when I came to the second floor evidently overlooked what CT Scan provided and as I stated was put on a regular diet. The nurses on the second floor were very nice and attentive. As a whole my stay at liberty Regional Medical Center was a good one except for my emergency room experience. If you are taken to Liberty regional emergency room and dr Harrington is on duty, if there is any way possible please ask for another doctor. This is not the first time we have had Run ins with dr. Harrington. To us or I should say to our family he is an unfriendly physician with no bedside manner at all. To me he is a very unqualified emergency room physician. Because of him constantly focusing Alno a possible overdose patient, I could have easily passed away easily since he did not or would not run other test. The EMT told me I was lucky to be alive. When they arrived at our home I had no pulse, severely low blood pressure, was dehydrated and for lack of a better word throwing up on and off several times. As I stated earlier the hospital as a whole is great, but the emergency room physician that handled my case was just what can I say undescribable. Please if you can avoid this doctor.

Provided by YPmobileMy husband has been having intestinal problems for three weeks. He finally gets tired of the aches and the diarrhea so he goes to LRMC. They take blood and urine and we sit for three hours. They came back and said it was gastrointeritis. Go home and take Imodium. Ok......that's what he has been doing for the last three weeks and it didn't go away yet, what makes them think that a prescription will do any better?
Fast forward two weeks and the same symptoms are still there. This time we go to another ER and it turns out that he has celiac disease. What a missed diagnosis. (Not the first missed diagnosis from LRMC either.)

Provided by YP.comThis is by far the worst hospital I have ever stepped into , I am telling anyone and everyone who will listen to go elsewhere. If you can go to WINN army ER go there , if you can make it to the Urgent Care clinic in Richmond Hill go there , if you can make it to St Josephs Chandler , or Memorial go there , but do not go to LRHC because all they are going to do is treat you like your a drug addict wanting a quick fix , and before you leave they want that co-pay. I took a friend there today and witnessed it myself , I came home and told my husband that I will never take him or are kids to that crap shoot hospital , and I will take my chances.

Provided by YP.comI noticed a bad review for Liberty Regional Medical Center on this thread and felt compelled to post as well to disagree totally. THIS HOSPITAL IS ONE OF THE BEST I'VE EVERY BEEN TO!!! The staff and physicians are very caring and treat you with the utmost respect. They provide personlized attention that you just simply don't usually find in a larger hospital. I have done much research, before and after choosing this facility, and find that the physicians on staff are experienced and highly qualified. Quite a few even have multiple Board Certifications in various specialties. I still use this hospital for basic services, diagnostic testing, and any surgical services - in other words I would not hesitate to use Liberty Regional for ANY service they offer. I feel I am qualified myself to write this review because I CAN SAY THIS FROM FIRSTHAND EXPERIENCE! Quite a few years ago, after seeking treatment at a larger area hospital and 2 doctors outside of Hinesville, I found myself literally on death's door with an undiagnosed ruptured appendix. I had walked around for almost 2 weeks this way and ended up at Liberty Regional. Upon arrival at the ER, one of the doctors there immediately took charge by admitting me and running a battery of tests. I was so sick that he ended up taking me in for exploratory surgery and found the ruptured appendix. It was a very involved surgery, but was repaired successfully. I spent 8 days in the hospital there and cannot express how pleased I and my family were of the care I received throughout the entire ER visit and hospital stay. The nursing staff and physicians were so professional and caring. With all this said, I would not hesitate to use Liberty Regional Medical Center for any and everything, from simple testing to emergency care. If they are not able to treat you there due to the severity of your condition, they will stabilize you and ship you to a larger facility so you can receive the advanced care that you may need. Most of the time the need for shipment is the fact that they are not a Trauma Center such as Memorial in Savannah. Nor do they have an ICU (yet). So of course they would have a need to ship patients elsewhere from time to time. I hope that the readers of these reviews will take my post into consideration and use this local healthcare facility. IT IS NUMBER ONE!!!

Provided by YP.comLRMC is the wrong place to take a sick child or person. the staff is slow, they dont care about making you comfortable. they just stand there and stare and gossip about the last patients that left out. They have been this way for years. i don't think they will ever improve. Don't get me wrong there are a few people there that really care and try there best. But the place is just that screwed up, it will never get itself right!!! They seem to care more about there paychecks than the wellness or health of a person. Thats the wrong attitude to have!!!! GOOD thing they sent her to a real hospital, to find out they was wrong with what they say was going on with her!!! LRMC is a not a good place and it needs to improve!!!!!!
